Salome

A one-act play based on the biblical story of the stepdaughter of Herod Antipas, Salome is mesmerized by the prophet John the Baptist. When Herod orders her to dance for him, she agrees to do so in exchange for his promise of anything she desires. After her seductive “Dance of the Seven Veils,” she demands the head of John the Baptist on a silver platter, and a horrified Herod is forced to comply.
